The Little Things

Published by Jocelyn under Creativity

I love this photo for so many reasons. First of all, the color is gorgeous. The way she creates sharp images with great contrast is amazing! Also, because it represents the best example of love. This was what Karen Russell came home to find after a long, busy day. Her husband set it up and it is so beautiful and touching in its simplicity. This is what I truly believe, sometimes it really is the smallest things that leave the biggest impression in our hearts. It’s not the big presents on birthdays or anniversaries, it’s the little things we come home to on a Sunday night. The little things that say, “I was thinking about you…and I love you.”

PS- That is a tape measure in the bottom of the picture because she had been complaining that she lost hers.

According to Page Six, Page Six reporter Paula Froelich just sold her debut novel to Simon & Schuster.

Here’s the description:

Page Six reporter Paula Froelich just sold her debut novel to Simon & Schuster’s Atria imprint. The novel, “Mercury in Retrograde,” centers around the lives of three New York women – a newspaper reporter named Penelope Mercury, who gets fired, a wealthy socialite fashion editor, Lena “Lipstick” Lippencraff, and a newlywed corporate lawyer Dana Gluck, who moves out on her husband when she dis covers he’s having an affair.

They all end up moving into the same SoHo apartment building.

Bethenny is real…if not an actual housewife

Published by Jocelyn under Television

After watching an entire season of The Real Housewives of New York City (a spin-off of The Real Housewives of Orange County) the cast has proven to be interesting, gossip-worthy and fascinating to watch. All-in-all a winner of a reality show!

My favorite housewife is the only one who can’t actually be considered a “housewife”, Bethenny Frankel. Many of you may remember Bethenny from the first and only season of Martha Stewart’s Apprentice. She didn’t win then but she definitely wins with this show! Word has it that Bethenny has already signed a six-figure deal for a cookbook based on her own rules for diet, exercise and healthy living. Bethenny has also done a number of video blogs on cooking tips and techniques. Let’s keep our eye on her and see what the future has in store for this Housewife’s Apprentice.

Dream Bed

Published by Jocelyn under Decorating

How can you not love the idea of crawling into this bed at the end of a long day? Or imagine spending an entire rainy day reading in bed! Rachel Ashwell has been creating fantastic lines for years and if I could decorate my entire house Shabby Chic, I think I would!

The Proposal

Published by Jocelyn under Movies

Looks like another film is hitting close to home! THE PROPOSAL starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds is filming in Boston…the best city in the world! (In my humble opinion)

Send a Card!

Published by Jocelyn under Creativity

Who doesn’t enjoy receiving a little message in the mail? Even if it’s just a simple “Hello” inside a beautiful/happy card.  Found this one in Winifred Studios.

Colors!

Published by Jocelyn under Uncategorized

Alicia Paulson is a crafty girl! She is a designer and crafter who can recognize colors that are pleasing to the eye and often that is the most important aspect of creating beauty. Here is a photo she took of her kitchen and there is something so comforting about this image that I just had to share! (Maybe it’s just my love of pink!)
